The Basic Life Support (BLS) Classroom Course by The American Heart Association is designed to provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.

AUDIENCE: This course is for healthcare professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings.

Course Length: 4.0 hours

Important Information:

    • If you have any questions about this class, e-mail us at training@chsmobilehealth.org before registering.
    • You will be issued a CPR card by CHS (on behalf of the AHA) which is valid for two (2) years.
    • Please note - AHA exams are now 'open resource', permitting use of textbooks and notes when taking the exam. 

The class is FREE for full-time residents of the Town of Chili, Henrietta and Wheatland (excluding Village of Scottsville).  Residency will be verified.

Heartsaver® CPR AED by The American Heart Association is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches adult/child and infant CPR, AED use, as well as how to relieve choking.

AUDIENCE: This course is for anyone with limited or no medical training who needs a course completion card in CPR and AED use to meet job, regulatory or other requirements. If you are a healthcare provider (nurse, nursing student, MD, PA, EMT, dental office, etc.), this class is NOT for you.

Class Length: 3.5 hours

This is a PALS REFRESHER Course (1 day).

Course Length is 7.5 hours

The PALS Course is for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children. These include personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, paramedics and others who need a PALS course completion card for job or other requirements.

This classroom, video-based, Instructor-led course uses a series of simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.

  • You must currently possess a valid American Heart Association PALS card in order to take this class.
  • You will be issued an PALS card by CHS Mobile Integreated Health Care which is valid for two (2) years.
  • Please note - AHA exams are now 'open resource', permitting use of textbooks and notes when taking the exam. 

 

The free PALS Pre-Course Self Assessment is required. Please bring the completion certificate with you to class.
