This course will provide students with the opportunity to refresh their NYS EMT certification. Students will review basic anatomy and physiology, assessment skills, illnesses and injuries, as well as various medical equipment used in the pre-hospital setting. Students will earn an American Heart Association BLS for the Healthcare Provider card.

This class requires frequent/daily internet access via a computer to complete assignments.
Students who successfully challenge any didactic content or skills will not be required to attend all sessions. A summary of required classes will be provided after the Challenge Written and Practical Exams.
Students who are currently a member of an approved NYS EMS agency and who submit the proper documentation may request to have their tuition fees deferred. Any student who does not successfully complete the course, fails the NYS practical skills exam or fails the NYS written exam will be financially responsible for all fees.
Students who are permitted to defer their tuition payment due to agency affiliation will be required to sign a promissory note and submit DOH Form 3312 ‘Verification of Membership in a NYS EMS Agency’ by the first class. Failure to submit DOH 3312 will result in the student being financially responsible for all fees.
